Root Canals

A procedure used to restore a tooth by removing damaged nerve tissue.  The interior of the tooth, or the pulp chamber, is cleaned out, disinfected and filled with an inert filling material. The procedure takes one to two visits.  A successful root canal is usually followed by placement of a crown.
